Commercial Retail Space Renovation

Transforming A Luxury Plumbing Showroom

Home Comfort Centre – 2024

Summary

Located in Richmond Hill, Home Comfort Centre is a one-stop destination for kitchen & bathroom plumbing fixtures and water & air purifiers.

With the introduction to their new plumbing brand “Duravit” to their showroom, Home Comfort Centre wanted our help to create a more impactful, modern and uniform look for their toilet section of their showroom. Within their toilet showroom, Sahjin Studios has redesigned display sections for Toto, Toto NEOREST and Duravit and took a modern luxury approach.

Original Showroom

Challenges

  1. Toilet production information was inconsistently displayed, creating a more “chaotic” aesthetic.
  2. Their luxury line “NEOREST” did not stand out from the rest as their price point does.
  3. The Duravit display was blank, want to keep a uniform look to the whole showroom while still adding brand differentiation.

Insight

Our team has experience in transforming luxury retail spaces, including high-end jewellery and watch stores. We focused on creating showrooms that reflect the same sense of elegance as the products themselves, ensuring a premium shopping experience for the clients.

Interior Design Solution

We focused on approaching the design by accenting and highlight the toilets, instead of being hidden by white backgrounds. to keep a uniform look to the showroom, we darked all backgrounds behind the toilets, incorporated consistent line art and similar product information placements.

Toto Display

We found a balance between differentiating Neorest as a premium section while maintaining a brand unity with the original Toto line up. We achieved this by incorporating a premium flare of metallic finishes to the existing display frame and toilet podiums of Neorest.

Duravit Display

Following the successful launch of the new vegan restaurant Haven Plant Based Eatery, they needed to reach a new audience to expand their customer base.

Since COVID was still relevant, the beloved asian night market festival was cancelled for 2 years in a row. People were dying to get a taste of what life was like before. Following this unfortunate news of the festival closure, Michael Lee coordinated with the kitchen to develop a dish that would have been launched at this festival if the restaurant were to attend. Haven decided to introduce “Night Market Chik’n Nuggets” to the menu, a dish that makes you say their slogan “Seriously… It’s Not Meat”
