Located in the heart of The Annex in Toronto, Haven Plant Based Eatery was looking to move into its new home, where the previous brand design was contrasting with their brand vision. We helped redesign the space and helped bring the design ideas to life through our design + build process.
The original dark aesthetic must be completely removed.
Must redesign the space to a modernized, clean and elegant aesthetic.
Only maximum 4 months given to complete the project.
Insight
When first inspecting the old space, we analyzed where each power outlet and existing kitchen equipment was required to stay when building the new design. To give a complete 180 degree design, we were required to remodel the full front space from top to bottom.
Designed by Local Artist
We scouted and collaborated with a talented local artist to design the wall at the restaurant, to drive a sense of community built brand and enable a initial connection with the brand and the local community.
Bright Sign & Menu
To minimize wastage, we’ve kept the electrical outlets for the menu and the back neon sign areas. We converted these areas to be eye-catching visuals to entice the customers right when they enter the restaurant.
Storefront Design
We revamped the dark rustic signage, replacing it with a sleek, clear-coated brand signature in teal, featuring a standout pop-out Haven logo.
A Sense of Community
For this local restaurant, we want the design to speak for the locals, and drive a sense that Haven cares for its community.
We designed a greenery wall for behind the neon Haven sign as well as at the front of the store, where we left a glass pop-out where customers can stand or write their review and opinions on vegan diets.
